It was acceptable in the eighties...

Look back to the fashion in the eighties, and your mind conjours images of bad perms and ski pants... but the eighties is back in fashion, who would have thought ? And i'm loving it.
Studded leather biker jackets are all over the high streets, and i want one badly!
I've listned to 80's glam rock so much recently that i've fallen in love with the cheesey 80's rocker look, im talking zebra print trousers, loads of leather, big hair, leather studded biker gloves and ankle boots. Not altogether else you will risk looking like the 80's threw up on you!

I want this jacket !! i think it would look amazing teamed with treggings and a long loose top underneath. I find items like this are best teamed with a sort feminine floaty fabric, of give the outfit edgeyness. As seen on Taylor Momsen, the pink ruffles with leather jacket and fishnets compliment each other perfectly, replace the pink skirt with a denim skirt and it would look trashy. I'm not sure about those shoes though, I would have worn a pair of louboutins or something elegant.

Studded accesories are for the less brave for a hint of edgeyness. Hermés' studded cuff is taking the fashion world by storm, its the new "it" accessory..and only €1,000 or something ridiculous! As seen on every and any celeb on the red carpet. Personally I'd rather get one from your local Hot Topic for a more budget friendly price!

Christian Louboutin has a range of studded heels, and i would KILL for a pair. Mary janes with studs, they are to die for! Someone buy me a pair and I'll love you forever ! Until then, i'll just have to do with my Topshop copy.

I never thought I'd hear myself say it, but I think Madonna's look in the eighties was AMAZING. I'm talking loads of black lace, jewelled crop tops, beads, rosary beads, lace tights..
aaaaaand i just spent an hour doing an 80's polyvore set before i went and erased it all by accident ¬_¬
meh ill do it again later.

I LOVE this outfit Carrie is wearing in the new SATC movie.

ebay anonymous

Hello, my name is Marie, and im addicted to E-bay.

I've never had my own credit card (for obvious reason, I'd end up in serious debt!!)
So last week, I decided to get a 3V card, you put money onto it, before you can buy anything.
Perfect! ..i thought.
You see I needed it to buy these hair tongs:
Grip free ceramic 26mm hair tongs!
I was walkin through the Ilac centre in Dublin one day, and seen there was a demonstration in the middle, these two women trying to persuade people to buy these curlers, so out of curiosity I took a quick look, she immediately pounced on me with a "Would you like to try these? One day special offer! Half price!" Knowing they cost fourty-odd online, I asked how much they cost, she replied "Me give you gooood offer! Half price €100 from €200!"
Good price my arse.
She tried them on 2 strands of my hair and they were AMAZING, she twisted the hair round the barrel using the protective gloves, left it for three seconds and tada! Beautiful curls in an instant!
I asked her what mm's the barrels were..she didn't have a notion what I was talking about, she was like "This big one..this small one!" ...
I told her I'd come back tomorrow (with NO intention of coming back) and she was like "No half price only today! You can leave deposit! Make sure you come back"
Jeez, dont try too hard like!

This lead me onto yearning for the cheaper one online, so I went and got the 3V card, and topped it up by €50. I got home and decided to have a little lurk around Ebay, and decided there was SO many nice things, that I'd top up the voucher with another €50 the next day, I'd just spend this one on "bargains"
So i ended up buying diamond ear gauges, a pink phone cover, swarovski crystals to DIY the phone cover, a hairband and a top from Zacky Vengeance's clothing line to deconstruct into a cute halter.
My heart was racing, I needed to buy EVERYTHING.
So I made a wish list of the things I want to buy next time I top up.
So far I have 15 things on my wish list... and yet still have not bought what I initially joined EBay for..the damn hair curler !!

Also, I've been recommended to buy the Coastal Palettes 88 set. I've heard so much about it, and my friend Sue, who is an amazing make up artist also recommended it to me..so that's it settled, I have to buy it. Apparently the shades are very highly pigmented, and a replica of Mac, just without the huge price.
I'm going to buy as many of the different palettes as possible.
The shimmer, matte, naturals and concealers and they will all contribute towards my kit for when I'm a fully fledged make up artist :D
Look how pretty they are !!
*drools*

Blog virginity.

I decided to set up a blog, to keep record of little bits of inspiration every day. Focusing maily on shoes, design, make up and fashion! Today, an idea popped into my head..customizing shoes ! A plain pair of patented heels in penneys costs €9..why not jazz them up a bit and make them a lil bit more unique and colouful!

Shopping list:
Superglue,
some kind of paint that will stay on the shoe and not drip straight off again!

These are customized shoes I found a pic of, they're so cute !! And with bows glued to the back, or the front of the shoe they could look just like iron fist shoes..why pay €50 when you can pay €9 !

Customized:Iron Fist:
The customized ones actually look more expensive than these €50 Iron fist ones!
Iron Fist shoes are on my wishlist, they're so unique and amazingly colourful !
Check out these ones called "ruby slippers" I just found, I'll probably never wear them...but I want them so bad!
